did u goto glade? just a little somethin*UPDATE*

this is my original post on this subject, when i wrote when i eventually got home from glade, and more or less went on the computer - and wrote this when i was tired and rather angry

i can say just to blame farmers and that is completely wrong and uncalled for.. its just i wrote about what i saw. being charged £5 in the night and £20 a few hours later is not on in my book, especially if they were employed by glade to help.

indeed the RAC or AA prolly have stupid expensive call out charges too (something i didnt think about) which is not good either, but they are commercial organisations who u kind of expect to exploit people for profit anyway, but - i DO guess they have set charges for things..so u kinda know how much its goin to be costin before hand.

it seems so far that the tractor people were putting up prices all day, and if offered to pay more u could cue jump. this is just exploitation, in a country thats being seriously flooded and everyone is supposed to be helping others..

the idea of some people being charged 100£ just to get out of a muddy field cause they think they are gonna be trapped in a flooded car is horrible..

and if ya think thats exceptable behaviour then please get out of my life.

(i posted a less ranting and more balanced version of this on the festival weather site/glade section.. for me to blame country folk and farmers is wrong. i'm sorry about that.. talkin out of my arse with no real thought...this was me writing as i was feeling at pretty much the time of the event)





ok, went down to carpark saturday night to take all clothes and stuff - anythin that we could move... carpark was rammed with ppl tryin to get out... and loads of ppl were being towed by tractors.. being charged £5.. which i thought was wank,but ok a carload of ppl could scrape that together..


sunday - about 10 am ... it was TWENTY QUID... when we had all been advised to get off site because of storms about midday.. ppl were exhausted with draggin all there stuff there..


i'm sure the last thing they were expectin is being charged 20quid to get off a festival u've allready paid HUNDREDS too - ticket - food - beer etc etc

were the cash machines even working? imagine treking back there as impending storms move in to get money just because some FUCKER HAS NO HUMAN SYMPATHY and just takes advantage of ya suffering..

i saw one tracktor bastard running up and down a soggy que of ppl GLEEFULLY tellin em it was so much..
and i saw cars with bumpers ripped off and wrecked - bits of car everywhere..

we got out ok, then got newspaper, and SAW the whole devastation that had happened in that area over the weekend with floods and stuff.. and how ppl were helping their fellow man to survive... and there was NONE of  that at the end of glade.. just another chance to milk money from ppl..

my friend who was driving said the dude at the information point that day said 'the more money u have,the quicker u get to the front of the que' WHAT THE FUCK?

after everybody pulling together and makin the festival fun after all that rain and mud shit, to hear that - and the actions of the tractor drivers IS SHOCKING BEYOND BELIEF..

and for me, coming from a city, i believe its another example of countryside folk FUCKIN HATING US but yet - they expect us to subside their existance..
and also , maybe its some contempt the locals have for ppl going to glade, invading their space...all these kids coming to party AND ENJOY THEMSELVES...


as i write this - its 3pm, heavy storms are expected to move over that area... no doubt, like ppl i met .. there will be ppl stuck out there in this... with the farmers chargin through the nose... what happens when the cars get flooded? and ppl trapped potentially all night>?

THEY DONT FUCKIN CARE!

i hope there is a riot and the trackor ppl die in their own mud. or that the army and firebrigade etc move in to get ppl out - and it goes on the news...

ok so we may not be from the countryside, but we are ALL SOMEONES SONS AND DAUGHTERS - whos parents will be worried shitless about them trapped there... and i think with good reason..

I'm not religious but i fuckin PRAY all u ppl make it out alive.. as last time ya all have made a man whos pretty cynical about humanity have some faith in it again...


but i realise ya a special bunch, and NOT like everyone else..

respect for havin such a great time - IT WAS WICKED.. and ya ALL FAB
